Neon erwirbt weltweite Rechte an Guadagninos Artificial

Neon hat die weltweiten Rechte am Film Artificial von Regisseur Luca Guadagnino von den Amazon MGM Studios erworben. In dem Film spielt Andrew Garfield den OpenAI-CEO Sam Altman.

Der Deal wurde am 30. Juni abgeschlossen. Artificial dokumentiert die Tage vor Altmans plötzlicher Entlassung und Wiedereinsetzung als CEO von OpenAI im Jahr 2023.

Das Drehbuch stammt von Simon Rich. Produziert wurde der Film von Guadagnino, Rich, David Heyman, Jeffrey Clifford und Jennifer Fox. Gedreht wurde in San Francisco und Italien; die Filmmusik und die Lieder wurden von Damon Albarn komponiert.

Die Amazon MGM Studios hatten zuvor angekündigt, den Film nicht zu veröffentlichen. Neon plant, Artificial in das diesjährige Oscar-Rennen zu schicken.

Neon has secured North American and English-language rights to Na Hong-Jin's thriller 'Hope', marking its fifth film in the Cannes Film Festival competition lineup. The acquisition, pursued since November, brings Neon's total titles at the festival to six. The film stars Hwang Jung-min, Zo In-sung, Hoyeon, Alicia Vikander, Michael Fassbender, Taylor Russell and Cameron Britton.
