Region Dalarna presents work environment plan

Region Dalarna has presented its new work environment plan together with union representatives. The plan is described as positive by the unions and is expected to be approved the same day.

Region Dalarna's new work environment plan was presented by regional councilors Sofia Jarl (C) and Sebastian Karlberg (S). They did so together with representatives from four unions.

Union representatives described the plan as positive, welcoming and good. Marion Vaeggemose from Vårdförbundet said the unions are very satisfied that politics has taken hold of the issue.

The plan is not fully decided yet. The councilors however expect it to be approved the same day.

Region Dalarna's regional council has decided to allocate up to 30 million kronor extra to the care choice for child and youth psychiatry (BUP) in 2026. The investment aims to retain care providers. The opposition warns that the funds will not solve the root problems.

Region Dalarna has decided to develop an action plan to improve the work environment amid shortages of care places, sick leaves, and low staff satisfaction. Regional councilor Sebastian Karlberg (S) stresses the need for staff involvement to resolve these issues.
