Äthiopische Wissenschaftler aus den Bereichen Politikwissenschaft und öffentliche Verwaltung haben hervorgehoben, dass freie, faire und demokratische Wahlen für den nationalen Frieden und eine robuste wirtschaftliche Entwicklung unerlässlich sind.

Mulalem Hailemariam, Dozent für Politikwissenschaft an der Wachemo University, erklärte, dass Wahlen, die auf dem öffentlichen Konsens beruhen, wirtschaftlichen und sozialen Fortschritt bringen.

Dr. Fiqadu Tolosa von der Jimma University fügte hinzu, dass demokratische Abstimmungen eine entscheidende Rolle bei der Sicherung von gemeinsamem nationalem Wachstum und Entwicklung spielen.
