Multiple residents of Hong Kong’s Wang Fuk Court have reported problems registering for an online owners’ meeting hosted by Hop On Management, which says it has enhanced cybersecurity.
Wang Fuk Court is a fire-ravaged estate in Hong Kong. One resident received an SMS from Hop On Management on Sunday stating that registration for the May 20 owners’ update session had not been completed, even though a confirmation text had arrived on Friday.
The message read: “You have not completed the registration procedures for the Wang Fuk Court’s owners update session. Therefore, we cannot confirm the attendance arrangement.” The company directed the resident to re-register via its website before 11:59pm on Sunday.
Another resident had received confirmation on Friday that the household would receive the virtual meeting password by Sunday and could log in on May 20 from 10am. Two other residents reported similar technical glitches.
