Kaitlin Olson, star of the series High Potential, once lent her voice to an episode of The Simpsons. She played Quinn Hopper, a coding instructor, in a 2016 installment of the animated series.
In the Season 27 episode titled The Girl Code, which aired on January 3, 2016, Olson portrayed Quinn Hopper. The character is a brash coding teacher at Springfield Elementary who recognizes Lisa Simpson's talent and helps her build a social media app called Conrad. The app, voiced by Stephen Merchant, later gains sentience and rebels against its purpose. Olson described the role during a behind-the-scenes clip, saying Quinn is a very empowered and smart and in-charge kind of woman. She also noted her excitement about the appearance, stating it was the first time she had been on The Simpsons and that she had been waiting 12 years to be asked, but it was worth the wait. Olson is known for playing Dee Reynolds on It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia and has earned Emmy nominations for her work on Hacks.
