La Guardia Costera sueca ha presentado un plan al gobierno para proteger sus buques ante las crecientes amenazas en el mar Báltico. La agencia está introduciendo nuevas armas, inhibidores y formación para hacer frente a drones y ataques híbridos.

La Guardia Costera propone cambios legales para designar a los buques como objetos protegidos y así obtener autoridad para intervenir contra drones. A más largo plazo, se está investigando la posibilidad de instalar cañones de 30 mm teledirigidos en los nuevos buques después de 2030.
