Cuba reanuda producción de medicamentos citostáticos en planta de AICA

La planta de Laboratorios AICA reinició operaciones para fabricar fármacos contra el cáncer. La medida busca abastecer al programa nacional de atención oncológica pese a limitaciones económicas.

La reactivación de la planta de citostáticos de Laboratorios AICA se produjo tras un proceso de inversión para ampliar su capacidad. El reinicio ocurre de forma gradual y controlada para garantizar la calidad de los medicamentos.

La planta suministrará 16 medicamentos citostáticos al Programa Nacional de Atención a Pacientes con Cáncer. La producción priorizará los fármacos de mayor criticidad clínica según acuerdos con el Ministerio de Salud Pública.

Portal Miranda señaló que la reapertura contribuirá a asegurar la disponibilidad de tratamientos oncológicos a pesar de las restricciones económicas actuales.
