Exsubsecretario Ramos califica de “falsa y temeraria” acusación de Quintana sobre apoyo a policías

El exsubsecretario de Interior Víctor Ramos respondió a la viceministra de Prevención del Delito Ana Victoria Quintana, quien criticó al gobierno anterior por dejar solas a las policías moralmente. Ramos calificó las declaraciones como falsas y temerarias, destacando la evidencia de fortalecimiento policial bajo el presidente Gabriel Boric. La viceministra de Prevención del Delito, Ana Victoria Quintana, criticó en una entrevista con La Tercera la gestión del gobierno anterior en materia de seguridad. “Dejaron solas a las policías, los desarmaron, y no me refiero a las armas, me refiero moralmente. No los alimentaron respecto de lo que significaba ejercer esa función policial y del respeto que debían recibir”, afirmó.

Quintana añadió que el actual gobierno trabaja en políticas públicas focalizadas, a diferencia del anterior, “porque consideramos que el gobierno anterior lo hizo mal”.

En respuesta, el exsubsecretario de Interior Víctor Ramos publicó en X que “la evidencia a favor del fortalecimiento de las policías que llevamos a cabo desde el gobierno del presidente Gabriel Boric es abrumadora y no vale la pena discutir una aseveración tan falsa y temeraria”.

Ramos advirtió que Quintana expone innecesariamente a las policías a debates públicos, similar al caso de la PDI, y concluyó: “Es una lástima que quién se arroga ser el faro moral de las policías, las exponga innecesariamente por gustitos políticos e ideológicos”.
