México registra récord histórico de exportaciones en marzo

México alcanzó exportaciones por 70 mil 727 millones de dólares en marzo, con un crecimiento del 27.7% anual y un superávit comercial de 5 mil 932 millones. El avance se debió principalmente a manufacturas no automotrices, en un contexto de reasignación de proveedores por Estados Unidos. Las cifras desestacionalizadas muestran un aumento mensual del 8.52%.

Las exportaciones automotrices solo crecieron 2% en total, con una caída del 3.4% hacia Estados Unidos. En cambio, las manufacturas no automotrices subieron 43.7%, lideradas por minerometalurgia con 61.8%, equipos eléctricos y electrónicos con 17.8%, y alimentos, bebidas y tabaco con 14.4%.

Las ventas no petroleras a Estados Unidos, excluyendo autos, avanzaron 43.9%, pese a un desplome petrolero del 20.4% en valor y una reducción de volumen de 827 mil a 495 mil barriles diarios. Según el U.S. Census Bureau, en enero y febrero México fue el principal proveedor de bienes a Estados Unidos con 86 mil 828 millones de dólares y 16.9% del total importado.

México ganó terreno en tecnologías de información y comunicaciones (de 20.0% a 20.6%), aeroespacial (6.2% a 7.2%) y manufactura flexible (4.9% a 6.4%). Las razones incluyen logística, aranceles y el T-MEC, que excluye a México y Canadá de una sobretasa del 10% aplicada por la Casa Blanca.
