Mekuria noted that journalism schools must combine theory with practice to produce skilled professionals. He added that schools should equip students with full studios and necessary work resources.
The lecturer emphasized that media's key value is to safeguard national sovereignty, public unity and national interest. He said Ethiopians share more uniting values than dividing ones and urged media outlets to focus on narratives that promote unity.
