PAGASA forecasts rains and thunderstorms across parts of PH on July 29

The state weather bureau PAGASA reported that a low-pressure area and easterlies will bring cloudy skies, scattered rains and localized thunderstorms to several regions on Wednesday, July 29.

PAGASA located the low-pressure area over the coastal waters of Rapu-Rapu, Albay, at 3 a.m. on Wednesday. The bureau said the system is unlikely to develop into a tropical depression within the next 24 hours but may cross land and bring rain showers to Metro Manila, the Bicol Region, Calabarzon and parts of Mimaropa.

Weather specialist Chenel Dominguez stated in a 5 a.m. advisory that the easterlies will bring rain to Cagayan and Isabela while also affecting the Cordillera Administrative Region, Ilocos Region and the rest of Cagayan Valley with partly cloudy to cloudy skies and isolated rain showers.

For the Visayas, PAGASA forecast generally fair weather with isolated afternoon and evening thunderstorms. The bureau noted light to moderate winds and slight to moderate seas, with no gale warnings raised across the country.
