Wheelhouse restaurant readies for spring opening in Washington

Wheelhouse, a new nautically-themed American restaurant from the Georgetown Events Hospitality Group, is preparing to open in Washington, DC, this spring. The 4,500-square-foot venue at 5712-14 Connecticut Avenue will offer classic comfort foods and seafood, with operations expected to begin by the end of April.

The Georgetown Events Hospitality Group, known for its event and dining ventures, is launching Wheelhouse in a space that has been under construction for about six months. Founder and CEO Bo Blair described the project as an extension of their successful Millie’s concept in Spring Valley, Chevy Chase. "We wanted to kind of create something very similar to what we did with Millie’s in Spring Valley in Chevy Chase. So, we finally were able to find a spot that we liked. We’ve been under construction for about six months now, and everything’s going well," Blair said.

Located at 5712-14 Connecticut Avenue NW in the 20015 zip code, the restaurant will feature a patio for outdoor dining. Its menu will emphasize American comfort classics such as burgers, sandwiches, and soups, complemented by seafood options. While an exact opening date remains unavailable, the group anticipates welcoming customers by late April.

This development adds to the growing dining scene in the area, with Wheelhouse positioned as a fresh nautical-inspired addition to local eateries.
