Anil Agrawal visé par une plainte après l'explosion d'une centrale électrique à Sakti

Le président du groupe Vedanta, Anil Agrawal, ainsi que d'autres personnes, ont été cités dans un rapport d'information (FIR) pour homicide par négligence suite à l'explosion d'une centrale électrique dans le district de Sakti, au Chhattisgarh, il y a deux jours. Le surintendant de la police de Sakti, Prafull Thakur, a confirmé cette information jeudi.

Une enquête pour homicide par négligence a été ouverte contre le président du groupe Vedanta, Anil Agrawal, et d'autres personnes, à la suite d'une explosion mortelle survenue il y a deux jours dans une centrale électrique du district de Sakti, au Chhattisgarh. Le rapport d'information a été déposé au poste de police de Dabhra en vertu des articles 106 (homicide par négligence), 289 (conduite négligente concernant des machines) et 3(5) (intention commune) de la Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita de 2023.

Le surintendant de la police de Sakti, Prafull Thakur, a confirmé jeudi 16 avril 2026 à The Hindu que M. Agrawal figurait dans le rapport. « Une plainte a été déposée », a déclaré M. Thakur.

L'explosion s'est produite dans une centrale électrique du district de Sakti, soulignant les préoccupations en matière de sécurité sur les sites industriels de la région. La police a également mis en cause d'autres personnes dans cette affaire, sans toutefois fournir davantage de précisions.
