Un drone a frappé le pétrolier battant pavillon de Hong Kong Bochem Marengo dans la nuit du 12 au 13 juin, endommageant certaines parties du navire mais laissant tous les membres de l'équipage indien indemnes.

L'attaque a endommagé les citernes de ballast à eau bâbord n° 1 et n° 2 du navire ainsi que la citerne de cargaison bâbord n° 2. Le navire naviguait sous le dispositif de sécurité NCAGS des États-Unis.

Le pétrolier a atteint plus tard Fujairah où l'inspection et les réparations ont commencé. Il était exploité par Anglo Eastern Ship Management India Private Limited.

Une équipe d'intervention d'urgence a été alertée après l'incident et les propriétaires ont informé les agences navales, y compris l'UKMTO.
