Dying Light: The Beast ne sortira finalement pas sur PS4 et Xbox One

Techland a annoncé le 14 juillet que Dying Light: The Beast ne sera finalement pas lancé sur PlayStation 4 ou Xbox One. Cette décision fait suite à la sortie du jeu prévue pour septembre 2025 sur PS5, Xbox Series X/S et PC. Les clients ayant précommandé le jeu sur les plateformes annulées seront remboursés.

Techland a déclaré que ce jeu de zombies en monde ouvert a été conçu dès le départ pour le matériel de génération actuelle. Ses graphismes, son système de combat et ses déplacements nécessitent une puissance de traitement que les consoles plus anciennes ne peuvent offrir.

Le développeur a qualifié cette décision de choix difficile pris après mûre réflexion. Il a souligné son engagement à offrir l'expérience prévue sans compromis majeurs.

Dans un communiqué, Techland a exprimé ses regrets face à cette déception. Il a ajouté que toute personne s'attendant à jouer sur ces plateformes est éligible à un remboursement.

La PS4 fêtera ses 13 ans en novembre 2026.
