Himanta Biswa Sarma prêtera serment pour un second mandat de ministre en chef de l'Assam le 12 mai. Quatre législateurs prêteront serment en tant que ministres à ses côtés.

La NDA forme le gouvernement en Assam pour le troisième mandat consécutif. Himanta Biswa Sarma a annoncé lundi les noms des quatre dirigeants qui prêteront serment en tant que ministres avec lui. Il s'agit de Rameswar Teli, Ajanta Neog, Atul Bora et Charan Boro.

Le Premier ministre Narendra Modi sera l'invité d'honneur de la cérémonie de prestation de serment. Sarma a été élu chef des partis législatifs du BJP et de la NDA. La NDA a obtenu la majorité au sein de l'assemblée de 126 membres.

Rameswar Teli a été élu à Duliajan et a précédemment occupé le poste de ministre d'État de l'Union. Ajanta Neog a été réélue à Golaghat pour un sixième mandat et a été la première femme ministre des Finances de l'État. Atul Bora est président de l'Asom Gana Parishad, tandis que Charan Boro représente le Bodoland People’s Front.

Ranjeet Dass a été désigné candidat de la NDA au poste de président de l'Assemblée.

The Bharatiya Janata Party released its first list of 144 candidates for West Bengal assembly elections, fielding Leader of Opposition Suvendu Adhikari from Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee’s Bhawanipore seat as well as Nandigram.
