Joaquín Lavín rend visite à son fils à la prison annexe Capitán Yáber

L'ancien maire Joaquín Lavín Infante a rendu visite à son fils Joaquín Lavín León pour la première fois à la prison annexe Capitán Yáber mercredi après-midi.

Lavín Infante s'est brièvement adressé à la presse après la rencontre. Il a déclaré que son fils était calme et plein d'espoir malgré les circonstances. Le fils est maintenu en détention provisoire depuis vendredi dernier sous les chefs d'accusation de fraude au Trésor public, trafic d'influence et faux et usage de faux.

L'ancien maire a remercié la famille pour les messages de soutien. Il a précisé qu'ils préfèrent éviter la télévision et les journaux pour préserver leur tranquillité. Cette visite intervient au lendemain de la décision de la Cour d'appel de Santiago de déclarer recevable un recours en habeas corpus contre la détention provisoire.

Lors d'une visite précédente lundi, Lavín Infante avait exprimé la souffrance de la famille et réaffirmé sa conviction quant à l'innocence de son fils et de Cathy Barriga.
