Malatsi alloue 234 millions de rands à la SABC

Le ministre Solly Malatsi a alloué 234 millions de rands à la SABC dans le cadre du budget de 2,5 milliards de rands de son ministère pour l'exercice financier 2026/2027.

Malatsi a détaillé ces allocations lors de la présentation des dépenses de son ministère au Parlement le 12 mai 2026. Il a souligné qu'une somme de 1,7 milliard de rands du budget total serait transférée aux entités du portefeuille, dont 505 millions de rands pour l'ICASA, 112 millions de rands pour le Film and Publication Board et 595 millions de rands pour la South African Post Office.

Le ministre a félicité la SABC pour avoir obtenu des opinions d'audit sans réserve pour la deuxième année consécutive. Il a déclaré que ces progrès soutiennent les travaux en cours sur un nouveau modèle de financement élaboré en concertation avec le Trésor national.

Malatsi a mis en évidence les contraintes budgétaires auxquelles est confronté le portefeuille. Il a précisé que ces limites affectent la capacité des entités à remplir leurs mandats tout en conciliant leurs opérations commerciales et leurs responsabilités en matière de radiodiffusion publique.
