Perturbations de la circulation à prévoir à Nairobi pour le sommet Africa Forward

Le gouvernement kényan a averti les automobilistes que d'importantes perturbations de la circulation devraient débuter la semaine prochaine, Nairobi accueillant le sommet Africa Forward 2026.

Le porte-parole du gouvernement, Isaac Mwaura, a annoncé vendredi que les déplacements importants de personnalités affecteront plusieurs axes clés du 10 au 12 mai. Les routes susceptibles de connaître des perturbations comprennent Mombasa Road, Lang’ata Road, Thika Road, Limuru Road et Kiambu Road.

Certaines parties du quartier central des affaires seront fermées à partir de minuit le 11 mai. L'accès aux routes telles que City Hall Way, Parliament Road, Harambee Avenue et Taifa Road sera limité aux véhicules participant à la conférence se rendant au Kenyatta International Convention Centre.

Le sommet, co-présidé par le président William Ruto et le président français Emmanuel Macron, se tiendra du 11 au 12 mai. Il rassemblera plus de 30 chefs d'État de toute l'Afrique.

Par ailleurs, l'Autorité nationale des autoroutes du Kenya (Kenya National Highways Authority) a fermé une section de l'autoroute Uhuru durant la nuit de vendredi pour des travaux d'entretien, provoquant des embouteillages.
