Une peinture spoliée par les nazis retrouvée à Mar del Plata

Un rapport de la DAIA a confirmé que « Portrait d'une dame » de Giacomo Ceruti, spolié par les nazis en 1940, était conservé dans une résidence de Mar del Plata.

La peinture appartenait à la collection de Jacques Goudstikker jusqu'à son expropriation en juillet 1940. Friedrich Kadgien, un fonctionnaire du ministère des Finances du Reich, l'avait acquise avant de l'emmener en Argentine après la guerre.

Kadgien est décédé en 1964 et la peinture à l'huile est restée entre les mains de sa fille et de son gendre à Mar del Plata. En août 2025, des journalistes du journal néerlandais Algemeen Dagblad l'ont repérée dans une annonce immobilière.

Des experts de l'Académie nationale des beaux-arts ont vérifié que l'œuvre, précédemment attribuée à Giuseppe Ghislandi, est bien de Giacomo Ceruti, né à Milan en 1698. La DAIA a soumis un rapport technico-historique concernant la restitution de biens culturels spoliés par les nazis.
