Ritrovato a Mar del Plata un dipinto saccheggiato dai nazisti

Un rapporto della DAIA ha confermato che il "Ritratto di una dama" di Giacomo Ceruti, saccheggiato dai nazisti nel 1940, era conservato in una residenza di Mar del Plata.

Il dipinto apparteneva alla collezione di Jacques Goudstikker fino alla sua espropriazione nel luglio del 1940. Friedrich Kadgien, un funzionario del Ministero delle Finanze del Reich, lo acquisì e lo portò in Argentina dopo la guerra.

Kadgien morì nel 1964 e il dipinto a olio rimase alla figlia e al genero a Mar del Plata. Nell'agosto del 2025, i giornalisti del quotidiano olandese Algemeen Dagblad lo hanno individuato in un annuncio immobiliare.

Gli esperti dell'Accademia Nazionale di Belle Arti hanno verificato che l'opera, precedentemente attribuita a Giuseppe Ghislandi, è di Giacomo Ceruti, nato a Milano nel 1698. La DAIA ha presentato un rapporto tecnico-storico sulla restituzione dei beni culturali saccheggiati dai nazisti.
