Von Nazis geraubtes Gemälde in Mar del Plata entdeckt

Ein Bericht der DAIA hat bestätigt, dass Giacomo Cerutis „Retrato de una dama“, das 1940 von den Nazis geraubt wurde, in einer Residenz in Mar del Plata aufbewahrt wurde.

Das Gemälde gehörte zur Sammlung von Jacques Goudstikker, bis es im Juli 1940 enteignet wurde. Friedrich Kadgien, ein Beamter im Reichsfinanzministerium, erwarb es und brachte es nach dem Krieg nach Argentinien.

Kadgien starb 1964 und das Ölgemälde blieb bei seiner Tochter und seinem Schwiegersohn in Mar del Plata. Im August 2025 entdeckten Journalisten der niederländischen Zeitung Algemeen Dagblad es in einem Immobilienangebot.

Experten der Nationalen Akademie der Schönen Künste bestätigten, dass das Werk, das zuvor Giuseppe Ghislandi zugeschrieben wurde, von Giacomo Ceruti stammt, der 1698 in Mailand geboren wurde. Die DAIA legte einen technisch-historischen Bericht zur Restitution von durch die Nazis geraubtem Kulturgut vor.
