Un père du Nebraska condamné à 65 ans de prison pour avoir secoué son bébé à mort

Ryan Greenwood, 36 ans, originaire du Nebraska, a été condamné vendredi dernier à une peine de 65 à 80 ans de prison pour maltraitance intentionnelle sur enfant ayant entraîné la mort de sa fille de quatre mois.

Greenwood a été reconnu coupable en mars à l'issue d'un procès de cinq jours. Les documents judiciaires indiquent qu'il a admis avoir manipulé le nourrisson brutalement, ce qui l'a fait pleurer de manière incontrôlable. L'enfant a été mise au lit mais ne s'est pas réveillée le lendemain matin. Elle a plus tard été déclarée décédée des suites d'un traumatisme crânien correspondant au syndrome du bébé secoué.
