Des techniciens du TCU demandent la suspension partielle d'une vente aux enchères d'énergie

La branche technique du TCU a recommandé la suspension partielle de l'homologation d'une importante vente aux enchères d'énergie ayant permis de contracter 515 milliards de réaux de réserves pour des centrales thermoélectriques et hydroélectriques.

L'avis, signé vendredi (15), remet en question la souscription de centrales thermoélectriques alimentées au charbon et au gaz. Les techniciens alertent sur des profits extraordinaires pour les entreprises lauréates et sur le risque de coûts élevés pour les consommateurs.

La vente aux enchères, qui s'est tenue en mars, a permis de contracter 19 GW de capacité pour une durée de 15 ans. Le prix plafond a presque doublé en trois jours et la remise s'est établie à environ 5 %. Le modèle privilégiait les sources fossiles par rapport aux batteries renouvelables.

Le ministère des Mines et de l'Énergie a déclaré que l'appel d'offres respectait tous les préceptes légaux. Le dossier est désormais transmis à la plénière du TCU, tandis que des actions en justice fédérale cherchent à obtenir l'annulation du résultat.
