I tecnici del TCU richiedono la sospensione parziale dell'asta energetica

L'area tecnica del TCU ha raccomandato la sospensione parziale dell'omologazione di una importante asta energetica che ha appaltato 515 miliardi di reais in riserve per centrali termoelettriche e idroelettriche.

Il parere, firmato venerdì (15), mette in discussione l'appalto di centrali termoelettriche alimentate a carbone e gas. I tecnici mettono in guardia da profitti straordinari per le aziende vincitrici e dal rischio di costi elevati per i consumatori. L'asta, tenutasi a marzo, ha appaltato 19 GW di capacità per 15 anni. Il tetto massimo di prezzo è quasi raddoppiato in tre giorni e lo sconto si è attestato a circa il 5%. Il modello ha dato priorità alle fonti fossili rispetto alle batterie rinnovabili. Il Ministero delle Miniere e dell'Energia ha dichiarato che la gara ha seguito tutti i precetti legali. Il caso passa ora al plenum del TCU, mentre azioni legali presso tribunali federali richiedono l'annullamento del risultato.
