Técnicos del TCU buscan la suspensión parcial de la subasta de energía

El área técnica del TCU recomendó la suspensión parcial de la homologación de una importante subasta de energía que contrató 515 mil millones de reales en reservas para plantas termoeléctricas e hidroeléctricas.

El dictamen, firmado el viernes (15), cuestiona la contratación de plantas termoeléctricas alimentadas por carbón y gas. Los técnicos advierten sobre beneficios extraordinarios para las empresas ganadoras y el riesgo de altos costos para los consumidores.

La subasta, realizada en marzo, contrató 19 GW de capacidad por 15 años. El precio tope casi se duplicó en tres días y el descuento se situó en torno al 5%. El modelo priorizó las fuentes fósiles sobre las baterías renovables.

El Ministerio de Minas y Energía declaró que la licitación siguió todos los preceptos legales. El caso pasa ahora al pleno del TCU, mientras que diversas acciones judiciales federales buscan la anulación del resultado.
