이번 검사는 3차 검사의 여섯 번째 배치에 해당한다. 검사 대상은 랴오닝성, 지린성, 헤이룽장성, 광둥성을 비롯해 광시 좡족 자치구, 시짱 자치구, 신장 위구르 자치구 및 신장 생산건설병단이다. 이번 캠페인은 중앙 생태 환경 보호 검사에 관한 기존 규정에 따라 중국 공산당 중앙위원회와 국무원의 승인을 받았다. 각 검사팀은 일반적으로 장관급 인사가 팀장을 맡으며, 부총리가 이끄는 중앙 지도 그룹에 보고한다. 예를 들어 랴오닝팀은 차이밍자오(Cai Mingzhao)가 팀장을 맡고, 쉬비주(Xu Bijiu) 생태환경부 부부장이 부팀장을 맡는다. 각 팀은 생태 및 환경 문제에 대한 대중의 불만을 접수하기 위해 핫라인과 우편함을 설치할 예정이다.
