정부는 한국의 급성장하는 문화 수출품 지적재산권 보호를 강화하고 있으며, 불법 사이트 운영자들이 대체 사이트를 만들지 여부를 감시할 계획이다. 채 장관은 성명에서 "불법 사이트 운영자들이 불법으로 얻은 이익을 쉽게 포기하지 않을 것"이라며 신속한 대응을 약속했다.
