7월 18일 새벽부터 서울 수도권과 강원도에 폭우가 쏟아져 주택과 도로가 침수되고 540건의 재산 피해가 발생했다. 인명 피해는 보고되지 않았다.
기상청에 따르면 자정부터 오전 10시 사이 수도권과 강원도에 최고 200mm 가까운 비가 내렸다. 파주 192.5mm, 동두천 189.5mm, 포천 179mm 등의 강수량을 기록했다.
중앙재난안전대책본부는 오전 11시 기준 주택과 도로 침수 148건, 나무 전도 등 392건의 피해 신고를 접수했다. 6개 시에서 44가구 95명이 임시 대피했다.
서울시는 동부간선도로 양방향을 전면 통제하고 2단계 비상대응 체계를 가동했다. 한덕수 국무총리는 긴급회의에서 "인명 피해는 없었으나 재산 피해를 입은 분들께 위로를 전한다"고 말했다.
폭우는 일요일까지 계속될 전망이며, 일부 지역에서 시간당 300mm의 강한 비가 예상된다.
