한강홍수통제소는 22일 오전 5시 30분 임진교에 발령된 홍수 경보를 해제했다. 수위가 점차 낮아진 데 따른 조치다.
임진교 수위는 6시 기준 7.72미터를 기록했다. 전날 최고 11미터까지 올랐던 수위는 밤사이 내려갔다. 필승교 수위도 6.06미터로 떨어졌다.
환경부는 북한이 황강댐에서 사전 통보 없이 방류한 것이 수위 급상승의 원인이라고 밝혔다. 월요일 위성 영상으로 방류 사실이 확인됐다.
통일부는 북한에 자연재해에 책임 있게 공동 대응할 것을 촉구했다. 2009년 북한은 황강댐 방류 전 사전 통보하기로 합의한 바 있다.
