Alberto Vázquez’s ‘Decorado’ wins best feature at 9th Quirino Awards

Alberto Vázquez’s ‘Decorado’ claimed the best feature film prize at the 9th Ibero-American Animation Quirino Awards in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Spain. The Spanish-Portuguese co-production marks Vázquez’s third win at the event. Colombia and Portugal also secured major category victories.

The awards ceremony took place on Friday in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, where a jury reviewed 265 submissions from across Ibero-America. Spain led with three wins, while Colombia, Portugal and Brazil each took two, and Argentina one, evenly splitting honors between the Iberian Peninsula and Latin America. The jury was chaired by Brazilian producer Cesar Cabral, joined by members from Ireland, the Philippines, Colombia and Croatia.
