Produção de café colombiano aumenta em maio, mas cai 19% no ano

A Federación Nacional de Cafeteros informou que a colheita de maio atingiu 1,057 milhão de sacas, um aumento de 29% em relação ao mesmo mês de 2025. No entanto, a produção acumulada de 2026 caiu 19% e as exportações recuaram 22%.

A produção de café em maio confirmou uma recuperação mensal. Os produtores colheram 1,057 milhão de sacas de 60 quilos, em comparação com 819.000 sacas em maio de 2025. Germán Bahamón, gerente-geral da Fedecafé, atribuiu a recuperação à colheita na região sul, menos afetada pelas chuvas. Ainda assim, a produção acumulada até maio totalizou 4,3 milhões de sacas, uma queda de 19% em relação a 2025. As exportações preliminares de maio atingiram 894.000 sacas. Nos primeiros cinco meses do ano, totalizaram 4,15 milhões de sacas, uma queda de 22% em relação ao período anterior. O preço interno para uma carga de 125 quilos fechou em 4 de junho em 2,005 milhões de pesos, o nível mais baixo desde setembro de 2024. Bahamón observou que a valorização do peso gerou perdas superiores a 400.000 pesos por carga.
