Court of Appeal overturns ruling on Avicii manager lawsuit

The Svea Court of Appeal has overturned a March district court ruling, allowing Arash Pournouri to proceed with his lawsuit against companies linked to Tim Bergling's family.

Arash Pournouri, former manager to artist Avicii, can now move forward with his legal dispute. The case concerns Pournouri's claim that he was singled out as responsible for Bergling's mental health issues and 2018 suicide.

Pournouri welcomed the decision in a written statement. He looks forward to a trial on the merits in district court.

The district court had chosen in March to dismiss the lawsuit against the four companies. The Court of Appeal's ruling means the process can continue.
