Governo autoriza aumento para 46 slots por hora no AICM

O governo federal aprovou o aumento da capacidade do Aeroporto Internacional da Cidade do México (AICM) de 44 para 46 operações por hora a partir do inverno de 2026. O aumento depende da disponibilidade de três novas pistas de taxiamento na pista 05 direita. Esta autorização reverte decretos anteriores do ex-presidente Andrés Manuel López Obrador.

O Aeroporto Internacional da Cidade do México (AICM), operado pela Marinha, declarou que a autoridade aeronáutica considerou o aumento viável após analisar um estudo dos Servicios a la Navegación en el Espacio Aéreo Mexicano (SENEAM), em conformidade com o artigo 94 do Regulamento da Lei de Aeroportos. A primeira pista de taxiamento de saída rápida já está concluída, a segunda será finalizada no segundo semestre de maio e a terceira até o final de 2026. O AICM especificou que a medida é temporária para os períodos de verão e inverno de 2026, podendo ser aplicada em temporadas futuras. A resolução orienta a concessionária a implementar medidas que garantam operações ideais e serviço público. Esta medida do governo da presidente Claudia Sheinbaum visa restaurar a capacidade no principal aeroporto do país. Após emitir o comunicado, o AICM o removeu por ordens de sua diretoria geral.
