Manuel Duque vence o World Class Colômbia 2026

Manuel Duque, um bartender de Manizales, venceu o World Class Colômbia 2026. Ele representará a Colômbia na final global em Edimburgo, na Escócia.

A nona edição da competição reuniu 119 participantes e terminou com oito finalistas. Duque, do Alquimia Speakeasy, superou desafios técnicos e criativos inspirados no futebol, na hospitalidade e em experiências à mesa.

As provas incluíram o Coffee Roaster Challenge com coquetéis Don Julio, o Speed Round Challenge e o Banquet Challenge, que contou com bebidas Don Julio, Buchanan’s 18 e Tanqueray. A proposta gastronômica ficou a cargo do Oda e a ambientação foi assinada por Helena Caballero.

Eric Strauss, diretor de marketing da Diageo, destacou que o World Class reflete a evolução da coquetelaria como expressão cultural. O júri incluiu vencedores de edições anteriores e especialistas internacionais, como Eric Van Beek.

Como campeão, Duque viajará para Edimburgo este ano para competir com os melhores bartenders do mundo em uma cidade conhecida por sua tradição em uísque.
