Manuel Duque gana World Class Colombia 2026

Manuel Duque, bartender de Manizales, se coronó ganador de World Class Colombia 2026. Representará al país en la final global que se celebrará en Edimburgo, Escocia.

La novena edición de la competencia reunió a 119 participantes y culminó con ocho finalistas. Duque, del bar Alquimia Speakeasy, superó retos técnicos y creativos inspirados en el fútbol, la hospitalidad y las experiencias en la mesa.

Las pruebas incluyeron el Coffee Roaster Challenge con cócteles de Don Julio, el Speed Round Challenge y el Banquet Challenge con bebidas de Don Julio, Buchanan’s 18 y Tanqueray. La experiencia gastronómica estuvo a cargo de Oda y la ambientación de Helena Caballero.

Eric Strauss, director de Marketing de Diageo, señaló que World Class refleja la evolución de la coctelería como expresión cultural. El jurado contó con ganadores previos y expertos internacionales como Eric Van Beek.

Como campeón, Duque viajará a Edimburgo este año para competir con los mejores bartenders del mundo en una ciudad reconocida por su tradición del whisky.
