México revela lista de pedidos de extradição rejeitados pelos EUA

O governo de Claudia Sheinbaum apresentou uma lista de pedidos de extradição rejeitados ou paralisados pelos Estados Unidos desde 2018.

Durante a conferência de imprensa matinal de 18 de maio, o secretário de Relações Exteriores, Roberto Velasco, informou que o México apresentou 269 solicitações de detenção provisória para fins de extradição aos Estados Unidos entre 2018 e a data atual.

Nenhuma foi concluída. Trinta e seis foram rejeitadas e informações adicionais foram solicitadas em 47 casos.

Casos em destaque incluem o ex-governador Francisco García Cabeza de Vaca, solicitado em 8 de agosto de 2025, e Víctor Manuel Álvarez Puga, sócio de Inés Gómez Mont, rejeitado por não envolver um crime violento.

Rafael Zaga Tawil e Elías Zaga Hanono também foram mencionados por fraude no Infonavit, juntamente com José Ulises Bernabé García e Pablo Vega Cuevas, vulgo ‘El Transformer’, ligado ao caso Ayotzinapa.

A presidente Sheinbaum pediu reciprocidade no tratamento das solicitações.
