Modi says congress focuses on internal disputes over public issues in karnataka

Prime Minister Narendra Modi criticised the Congress government in Karnataka for spending more time on leadership disputes than on solving people's problems. Speaking at HAL Airport in Bengaluru on Sunday, he highlighted the unresolved issue between Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar. The remarks came amid ongoing uncertainty over power-sharing in the state.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed BJP workers and leaders in Bengaluru on Sunday. He stated that the Congress government in Karnataka had spent the last three years focused on internal disputes rather than public issues. Modi noted that it remained undecided how long the current Chief Minister would remain in power or whether another person would take over.

Modi extended his comments to other states where Congress holds power. He accused the party of betrayal and broken promises in Chhattisgarh, Rajasthan, and now Kerala. He added that Congress governments often face anti-incumbency shortly after forming and lack funds for basic salaries in places like Himachal Pradesh.

Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar responded to the remarks while in Raichur district. He asserted that all chairs in Karnataka remain strong and dismissed any notion of instability. The Congress government in the state is approaching its three-year mark amid public posturing by aides of both leaders over a possible power rotation.
