Montes critica possível acusação constitucional e defende relatório da Controladoria

O ex-ministro da Habitação Carlos Montes rejeitou a ideia de uma acusação constitucional contra ele nesta quarta-feira durante uma sessão da Comissão de Habitação da Câmara dos Deputados.

Montes apresentou detalhes do relatório final nº 421 da Controladoria-Geral sobre a compra de terrenos para o Plano Emergencial Habitacional entre 2022 e 2026. O documento, que possui 149 páginas, não menciona sobrepreço nas aquisições.

Em resposta a perguntas da deputada do Partido Republicano, Paz Charpentier, o ex-ministro observou que as acusações constitucionais têm prejudicado o Parlamento. “As guerras de acusações constitucionais causaram muitos danos ao Parlamento e esperamos tratar das principais questões”, disse ele.

Montes, que completa 80 anos em dois dias, também criticou o deputado da UDI, Hotuiti Teao. “Se o que queremos é sancionar este ministro, bem, sancionem-me”, declarou. Ele acrescentou que uma possível sanção de cinco anos não contribuiria para a democracia nem para a solução dos problemas habitacionais.
