Restaurant in Borlänge closed after unannounced inspection

A popular restaurant in Borlänge was forced to close after environmental inspectors found serious deficiencies during an unannounced check last week.

Environmental inspectors from Borlänge municipality visited the Pitchers restaurant in the town center. They found a broken cold room, suspected black mold in the ice machine, and minced meat holding at 24 degrees. This led to an immediate closure decision.

It is the second time in a short period that similar decisions have been taken against businesses in the area. However, both restaurants have been able to reopen relatively quickly.

The restaurateur commented on the deficiencies with the words: ”Det här får bli en läxa”.
