Sánchez condecora relatora da ONU Francesca Albanese por seu trabalho em Gaza

O presidente Pedro Sánchez condecorou hoje Francesca Albanese com a Ordem do Mérito Civil no Palácio da Moncloa por documentar violações do direito internacional.

A cerimônia ocorreu nesta quinta-feira. Sánchez e Albanese analisaram a situação na Palestina e a necessidade de um fim imediato para a violência.

No dia anterior, o chefe de governo enviou uma carta à Comissão Europeia. Ele solicitou a ativação do Estatuto de Bloqueio para anular as sanções dos EUA contra Albanese e contra juízes e promotores do Tribunal Penal Internacional.

“A Espanha não olha para o outro lado. Sancionar aqueles que defendem a justiça internacional coloca em risco todo o sistema de direitos humanos”, afirmou Sánchez nas redes sociais.

Albanese, que está visitando a Espanha e se reuniu com vários ministros, agradeceu ao governo pelo apoio contra as sanções da administração Trump.
