Sánchez condecora a la relatora de la ONU Francesca Albanese por su labor en Gaza

El presidente Pedro Sánchez entregó hoy la Orden del Mérito Civil a Francesca Albanese en el Palacio de la Moncloa por documentar violaciones del derecho internacional.

El acto tuvo lugar este jueves. Sánchez y Albanese analizaron la situación en Palestina y la necesidad de un cese inmediato de la violencia.

El día anterior el jefe del Gobierno envió una carta a la Comisión Europea. Solicitó activar el Estatuto de Bloqueo para anular las sanciones de Estados Unidos contra Albanese y contra jueces y fiscales de la Corte Penal Internacional.

“España no mira hacia otro lado. Sancionar a quienes defienden la justicia internacional es poner en riesgo todo el sistema de derechos humanos”, declaró Sánchez en redes sociales.

Albanese, que visita España y se ha reunido con varios ministros, agradeció el apoyo del Gobierno frente a las sanciones de la administración Trump.
