System-run institutions yield results in Addis Ababa

Addis Ababa city administration institutions are strong and system-run with continuity, officials said. Adanech Abiebie, head of the city administration, stated this. Reforms are enhancing residents' satisfaction.

On Miyazya 21, 2018 (EC), Addis Ababa city administration stated that instead of institutions lacking continuity and being politicized, strong system-run institutions with continuity are being established. Adanech Abiebie, head of the administration, made this remark.

Based on social media feedback, she said that early this morning, monitoring officials inspected institutional reform works. Residents previously complained with the phrase “either fifty or one hundred.” The administration has registered fundamental changes by applying concepts, work ethics, and modern regulations to alter this.

These reforms enable paperless operations, efficient service, data-based decisions, and complaint resolution, they stated. Additional features include direct citizen engagement apps, a modern call center in five languages for complaints and suggestions, a situation room, modern training center, office standardization, daycare, staff cafeteria, shimage suq, and sports center.

The administration endorsed the institution's managers and innovation technology office for fundamental reforms.
