Hadjar recovers from 21st to sixth with double pitstop at Spa

Isack Hadjar finished sixth in the Belgian Grand Prix after Red Bull used an unusual early double pitstop strategy at Spa-Francorchamps.

Hadjar started 21st after a penalty for fitting his fifth power unit of the season. He began on hard tyres and moved to 18th before a safety car was deployed following George Russell's lap-one crash.

Red Bull brought the driver in for mediums on lap one and hards again at the end of lap two. The move gave him flexibility later in the race, allowing a one-stop strategy completed under a virtual safety car.

Hadjar's pace was strong, with his fastest 10 laps averaging 1m49.727s. He reached the top 10 by lap 15 and held off Lando Norris to take sixth place.

Red Bull team principal Laurent Mekies called it Hadjar's best race for the team. The driver has now scored 60 points this season.
