Författare fortsätter använda AI trots påhittade citat i bok

Steven Rosenbaum har erkänt att AI-verktyg införde ett antal påhittade citat i hans nya bok om sanning och verklighet. Felaktigheterna uppdagades i en nyligen genomförd granskning av New York Times. Rosenbaum säger att han nu är mer försiktig, men att han planerar att fortsätta förlita sig på tekniken.

Rosenbaums bok, The Future of Truth: How AI Reshapes Reality, diskuterar hur artificiell intelligens förvränger fakta. Av de 285 källhänvisningarna har sex flaggats som problematiska, däribland tre påhittade citat utan tydlig källa. Ett citat som tillskrevs teknikjournalisten Kara Swisher förnekades av henne själv, medan ett annat, kopplat till professorn Lisa Feldman Barrett, beskrevs som felaktigt och obefintligt i hennes arbete.
