Lagstiftare föreslår förbud mot ai-chattbottar i leksaker för barn

En kongressledamot från Utah har lagt fram det första federala lagförslaget som syftar till att begränsa artificiell intelligens i leksaker som marknadsförs till små barn. Förslaget skulle förbjuda tillverkning och försäljning av sådana produkter i USA. Det kommer i en tid av växande oro kring säkerhet, integritet och effekter på barns utveckling.

Den 20 april presenterade kongressledamot Blake Moore "AI Children’s Toy Safety Act". Lagförslaget kräver ett förbud mot barnleksaker som innehåller ai-chattbottar och hänvisar till risker som sträcker sig från olämpligt innehåll till dataintrång. Det följer på insatser på delstatsnivå på platser som Kalifornien och Maryland för att införa moratorium eller kräva säkerhetskontroller innan produkterna lanseras.
