Kalonzo asisitiza elimu sawa kwa watoto wote nchini

Kiongozi wa chama cha Wiper Kalonzo Musyoka ameihimiza serikali kuhakikisha kila mtoto anapata elimu bila vikwazo vya kifedha. Alitoa wito huu wakati wa uzinduzi wa Lizah Foundation International jijini Nairobi.

Kalonzo alisema ni jambo la kuhuzunisha kuona wanafunzi wengi wakikosa kuendelea na masomo kutokana na changamoto za kifedha. Alisisitiza kuwa serikali inapaswa kutenga rasilimali za kutosha katika sekta ya elimu ili kusaidia watoto kufikia ndoto zao.

Waziri wa Nishati Opiyo Wandayi alisema serikali itaendelea kutekeleza miradi ya maendeleo kwa usawa kote nchini bila ubaguzi wa kikabila au kisiasa. Alisisitiza kuwa nchi ni ya Wakenya wote na maendeleo yatagawanywa kwa haki.

Katibu Mkuu wa Afya Ouma Oluga alitangaza kuwa wizara itashirikiana na taasisi hiyo kuhamasisha jamii kuhusu masuala ya afya na ustawi. Lizah Foundation International inayoongozwa na Lizah Mutuku inasaidia watoto maskini, miradi ya mazingira na kuwawezesha wasichana.
