Mbadi akataa madai ya ushuru mpya kwenye crypto na mkate

Waziri wa Fedha John Mbadi amefafanua kuwa Muswada wa Fedha wa 2026 hauleti ushuru mpya kwenye mali za kidijitali, mkate au shughuli za pesa za simu.

Mbadi alizungumza wakati wa mkutano na waandishi wa habari Jumatatu tarehe 25 Mei baada ya hazina kuchapisha infographics rasmi. Alisema mapendekezo kuhusu mali za kidijitali yanalenga kujaza mapungufu ya kisheria badala ya kuanzisha ushuru mpya.

Alikanusha ripoti za ushuru wa kuzuilia asilimia 5 kwa waundaji wa maudhui ya kidijitali na kodi ya ongezeko la thamani kwenye mkate. Alisema pia hakuna ushuru wa mzunguko wa magari au ufikiaji wa serikali kwenye data za M-Pesa.

Hazina ilithibitisha kuwa kiwango cha kodi ya mapato ya nyumba za kupangisha na ushuru wa nguo za mitumba zimeondolewa baada ya mashauriano ya umma. Maelezo haya yanakuja wakati bunge linajiandaa kujadili muswada huo baada ya ushiriki wa umma.
