Kundi la vijana limewasilisha ombi bungeni kuunda bajeti ya ziada ya Ksh300 bilioni kwa mwaka wa fedha wa 2026/27 ili kushughulikia ukosefu wa ajira miongoni mwa vijana.

Ombi hilo liliwasilishwa kwa Mbunge wa Funyula Wilberforce Oundo na Youth and Young Aspirants League of the United Green Movement Party tarehe 25 Juni 2026. Linapendekeza hatua zichukuliwe kuanzia Julai 2026 chini ya sekta ya Ulinzi wa Jamii.

Bajeti inayopendekezwa inajumuisha Ksh168 bilioni kwa malipo ya kila mwezi ya Ksh7,000 kwa vijana milioni mbili wasio na ujuzi, Ksh60 bilioni kwa ruzuku za biashara, na Ksh36 bilioni kwa mafunzo ya ujuzi. Waombaji wanataka pia daftari la kitaifa la wahitimu wasio na ajira.

Ombi hilo liliwasilishwa wakati wa kumbukumbu ya miaka miwili ya maandamano ya Gen Z ya 2024 na limesainiwa na Jaji Mkuu wa zamani David Maraga. Linakuja baada ya Rais William Ruto kutia saini Sheria ya Fedha ya 2026.
