አዋጁ የፓሪሱን ስምምነት ጨምሮ አለም አቀፍ ውሎችን ለመተግበር እና የሙቀት አማቂ ጋዞች ልቀት ቅነሳ ቃል ኪዳኖችን ለማሟላት ይረዳል። እንዲሁም ከፍተኛ ጥራት ላለው አረንጓዴ ኢንቨስትመንትና ቴክኖሎጂ ሽግግር ምቹ ሁኔታን ይፈጥራል።
አዋጁ ቀደም ሲል በቂ የአሰራር ስርዓት ሳይኖር የነበረውን የግብይት ሂደት በግልጽ የህግ ማዕቀፍ እንዲመራ ያደርገዋል። በመጨረሻም የኢትዮጵያ የካርበን ገበያ አዋጅ ቁጥር 1436/2018 በአብላጫ ድምጽ ጸድቋል።
